Frequently Asked Questions

What is pulse electromagnetic frequency (PEMF)?
PEMF is an outside energy source that infuses the body with the energy it needs to heal and regenerate. This infused energy is then used by the body, where it has the greatest need. It can enhance the body's natural healing and recovery process, assist with muscle fatigue and discomfort after exercise, support relaxation, or increase your energy, balancing the body's systems. Each body responds differently, using the energy in areas of greatest need. Decades of research show that the body utilizes PEMF to support healing and regeneration, and the body working optimally.

Resilience PMA uses "Pulse PEMF" brand Machines. Pulse PEMF uses spark gaps to discharge the energy in each pulse, and utilizes low-to-high intensity PEMF. Each pulse is a single event that is triggered by a sudden release of energy. They generate repetitive, bidirectional pulses of energy that each peak in fractions of a second, and produce an impulse. This impulse is similar to striking a bell and it causes the cells to respond by ringing out at their own frequency. The cells "ring" their own frequency, at the peak of each pulse. The cells ring out their frequency at the pulse repetition rate indicated by the machine.

"Measurable imbalances in the electrical field of the body proceed the onset of degeneration. Correcting the electrical imbalance has proven to be effective in helping the body to repair itself." Harold Saxton Burr, PHD (1932-1956) Professor of Anatomy at Yale University School of Medicine

Why should I make an appointment for a session?
There are many reasons for PEMF treatments for you, your dog or your horse. Reduced recovery time after intense workouts. Reduced recovery times after injuries. Reduced pain from persistent injuries. Better moods. Better sleep. Reduced symptoms of stress. See PEMF published scientific research studies for more info:

What could I expect from a session?
Whether I come to your home, or you come to my home office, there is a thickly padded chair setup and attached to the PEMF machine. You will hear a clicking sound coming from the machine, when it's turned on. You will likely feel nothing at low settings. As the intensity increases, you will begin to feel a slight tapping coming from the pad. As the strength of the PEMF machine increases, you could feel some muscle tensing, similar to a TENS machine. Some have described a deep relaxation during their session, some have described a type of "runner's high," and others have quickly recognized their relief from their chronic pain as soon as they stood up from the chair. While this is not a replacement for medical attention, many have experienced mild to moderate relief from chronic pain. While it is not common, mild detox symptoms can occur. To help mitigate these chances, you should be well hydrated before and after your sessions.

Who should NOT use PEMF?
Do NOT use PEMF machines if:
● User has an implanted electronic device including but not limited to a pacemaker, defibrillator, cochlear hearing device, spinal stimulator, glucose monitor, or insulin pump
● User has an implanted magnetic device including those deemed “unsafe for MRI” and those manufactured from ferromagnetic materials
● User is pregnant
● User is actively bleeding or hemorrhaging outside of normal menstrual bleeding
● User has blood clots and has not been cleared by a physician
● User is the recipient of an organ transplant
● Human or Animal User has injuries or concerns of injuries that have not yet been evaluated by a licensed healthcare provider or veterinarian.
● Animal User has colic (Consult a practicing veterinarian to decide whether it is appropriate to proceed)

What is a Private Membership Association?
A Private Membership Association (PMA), is an unincorporated Associate that grants its members the right to associate, the right to privacy and the right to conduct ‘business’ among its members. The PMA is protected by private domain rights. All members understand that the business is taking place among ‘private citizens’, therefore generally un-regulated by local, state, and federal regulations. Members agree that the association bylaws and articles are the governing terms of business. A PMA is managed by trustees and chairpersons.
